Aim the wand wrong and high-pressure water pushes in behind the panels, where it can sit against the sheathing and fascia and set up the very rot and mildew you were trying to prevent. High pressure can also chip, crack, or warp vinyl, dull and oxidize the surface, and on wood it can splinter and furrow the grain. None of that is worth it for a job that low pressure and the right solution handle better anyway.
